Hey, so my friend brought this set for $800 he was thinking about sending young, kelly, white to psa whenever they open send in back up. I told him it might not be worth it as anything under 9 might not get your money back for what you paid for the set incase something happen and you had to sale. I might be wrong but wanted to get everyone input.

If he has already opened it and handled the cards, he might as well submit anything with a decent shot at a 10.
If the set is still relatively undisturbed, consider getting it authenticated and wrapped by BBCE. That is a cool set related to an interesting period of time in the sport, and those wrapped sets will be scarce in 10 years. Won't lose money by holding it.
Thank you so much
9s are $$$ too
Here is who to submit
Herschel Walker
Jim Kelly
Reggie White
Steve Young
That's a high price to pay for a set, unless maybe if it has the tape on it or BBCE perhaps. I had a really good set, nice new box (my father purchased around 1984). My Kelly and Young came back PSA 7's- I thought the Kelly would be higher. I am waiting on the Reggie White (nice edges and corners but OC) and Hershel Walker to come back from PSA.
Gretzky,Ripken, and Sandberg collection. Still trying to complete 1975 Topps baseball set from when I was a kid.
Thanks again for all your help. I asked him he said it's bbce warp. I told him just keep it as is. I don't think they would come back 9 or 10. Years ago I brought 1990 score supplemental finally opened it to send the emmitt in came back an 8.
keep it as is, nice piece.

Worth more wrapped..........there's a reason why 9s and 10s are so valuable. This set is very tough. Centering is all over the place. And the solid colored backs make finding copies without edge/corner chipping almost impossible.
very tough to get 10's. the colored backs are very easily chipped. better as bbce wrapped.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Thank you
