I think this 51 Large Cent "may" have been used as a pie crust fluted tool.
I'm told this 09-VDB "may" have been used as a button years ago.

A gear for something
Imagine going to a coin show where you could make, bake and eat a pie made with this?
That's neat!
Imagine going to a coin show and seeing one of these things made from a 1793 Strawberry Leaf! People would pay to see it!

Need to get Charmy to post some of her treasures.
Very true, hadn't thought of that one!!
Actually the OP did post some of my “treasures” - I believe that’s my photo of my pie/pastry cutter on the wood background. As many of you on this forum knows, I collect most anything made out of or using pennies which includes tools, as well as buttons, charms, jewelry and other things made out of pennies.

That is nuts Charmy!!
Thanks so much for posting!!
@ThePennyLady What @USSID17 said. Thanks for sharing!!!
I'd feel really bad if one of the experts here said that 09-VDB I posted was an S!!!
Have seen Morgan dollars made into spur rowels at one of the western stores (Tourist traps) in Tombstone, AZ. Way overpriced for such common dates!.... One set was cut so sharp that they would have probably disemboweled the poor horse. Hopefully a drug store cowboy bought them since I don't think a real rider would have wore them.
I have heard someone say there is one of these made from a 1793. I've never seen a picture of it though. Not even sure if it exists, but I don't entirely doubt its existence.
"You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."
That is too cool.
Would love to get my wife a IHC bracelet... though she would probably like it better in gold.

I have never seen a cerrated edge 1793 but it probably does exist. Most key dates of coins have a damaged representative.
