Teemu Selanne took a pay cut so he could stay with the Sharks. He knows their is no way he can spend for than $7 million a year reasonably.

    I'm upset the Habs didn't get him, but there was nowhere else for him to go I guess, Boston offered him 7.5M but he doesn't fit their style at all.

    Montreal got Randy McKay if it makes you feel any better. I am just glad Rangers didn't get him. Holik and Kasparaitis used to be 2 of my favorites.....

    LOL I can't stand the Rangers either, McKay gives us size, so that signing was good, but we need a 30+ goal scorer, not four or five 15-20 goal scorers. Scott Young would have been a good too, cheaper as well. Nobody's really left out there now, besides Fleury, but they won't take a chance on him thank god. They should sign Stephane Matteau for his grit and size, and there's talk of a trade with Calgary, for Derek Morris, we'd get Morris and they'd get Souray and Patrick Traverse.

    Atlanta might be able to score a lot mopre this year with McEachern and Kozlov but doubt they can stop goals.

    Yeah, Columbus looks good this year too, I wonder if Atlanta will start Kahrlati or if they'll give him some time in the system. From what I've heard, he's ready, but I wonder if they'll take the chance? They also have a weak D.
