Newbie Has A Question

My friend asked me to buy some Football and Basketball sealed boxes and/or packs for her son's birthday in May.

I had no idea how hard they are to get due to the high demand. I quickly learned that Target has been releasing them at 8 a.m. on Fridays.

By the time it is my turn to buy the only thing left are packs of basketball cards, boxes of baseball and Pokemon.

I have been buying boxes of baseball cards if there are no football or basketball left just for the heck of it since Target allows purchase of 3 items per person and I had to stand in line.

My question is this. Do the baseball boxes become more scarce during the summer or do they become more readily available as the season progresses?

Welcome. It's impossible to answer that question, because we're in unprecedented times. Normally you'd have no problem finding that stuff at retail, so who know what this summer will bring.

No such details will spoil my plans...

Understood and thank you. As you might have guessed I am visiting from the coin forums!

So last summer it wasn't this bad?

I had always thought retail boxes weren't in high demand like the hobby boxes. Apparently baseball isn't that popular with the younger crowd as I see packs still available for days. Football and basketball disappear instantly.
