There was some controversy at the Marlins vs Mets game when the Mets batter, Michael Conforto, appeared to purposely stick his elbow out to get the game winning RBI from being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The umps did a replay and gave the game to the Mets. Check out this video.

Is it replay or review? What the heck was it?
Great call by the ump
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Appears to me the batter deliberately stuck his elbow in the path of the ball which also appeared to be a strike. No one should be ALLOWED to get HBP in the strike zone. Next time this batter is up he should not have to stick his elbow in the way.

As I was watching the video, I was struck by the fact that there just isn't any of the physicality from the Managers anymore. I know that there are new rules with covid, but this is the type of situation where you would have had atleast some good in your face old-school baseball arguing going on. Maybe I'm on an island with this, but it didn't look right.
You CAN'T get an HBP on a strike. The strike overrides the HBP. Just double-checked that on the MLB site itself. The home plate umpire needs to be suspended. He started to call it a strike so he knew it shouldn't be an HBP but called it anyway.
Yes, I miss a good ump vs manager confrontation. Uncle Lou Piniella would have beat the heck out of the ump. Don Mattingly should have gone Uncle Lou on the ump.
Yes, Uncle Lou was certainly feisty, and if this would have happened on his watch, there would have been trouble.
