    I Can't say for certain from the pics, but I'm leaning towards a planchet defect like a lamination (as stated by @MsMorrisine ). It's possible that it could be a debris filled die, or even PMD, but would need clearer pics to know

  • Thanks, I had not considered a lamination problem. My current setup doesn’t get me closeups of coins and I knew that would be a potential issue. I appreciate the responses!
