I am wondering what type of error is this and would it be worth getting graded.

This 1978 1 Cent Coin. Would it do good in auction you think.

Not an error, it was damaged after it left the mint.

Its called a vise job and is PMD. Stack a couple of coins together and squeeze in a vise. Notice the mirror image impression of a quarter reverse on the obverse of your coin. Not sure what is sandwiched on the reverse. Maybe a nickel???

Looks like an inflatable beach raft.
If you could, can you place it in a sponge with a cut to insert the coin on its edge to show what's going on ?
Also weight it if you could.
    Thanks.
