Grade card with probable fake auto in value sub to get (MK) qualifier?

So a buddy has a nice autographed rookie card that he picked up with a collection, but he suspects the sig is bogus since googling shows a totally different auto style. Per se, you are supposed to send in the card for dual grading (it's an 80's card and not factory certified) according to the faq. But what if you would take a grade with the MK qualifier. If you sent it in with a bulk submission, would they kick it back, charge you $100 and then no grade cause it is phony, or would you get the card graded with an MK?
Tis the $20 question.

I have a topps venezuelan Clemente card, It is signed, but no clue who signed it. The card is in really good condition for the issue and I sub'd it and actually just requested that is be graded with a MK qualifier and they returned it ungraded, no charge.
interesting scenario posed. curious to see how it turns out!
When was this, and did you sub it as part of a value sub or as a econ/regular sub?
It will not get graded. They will attach a note saying it has to be re-sent as auto. card not a regular card.
What sucks is I'd probably just tell the guy to send it dual, but at $100, that's a costly endeavor. Wish I still had a voucher.
Wonder what happens if you send it in as a voucher, but by the time they get it it, all your vouchers have been redeemed. I still have some in grading, so not technically redeemed in the system yet.
Upcharge.
I dont recall how I sent it. was several years ago, probably 6 or so.
