Why are their realized auction prices so much higher than everyone else's ? Seems fishy.

Well, if you could buy the same thing from Joe Blow or Name brand, which one would you pay more for?
Kinda of like buying a diamond ring at a Beverly Hills jeweler, or from someone in the downtown jewelry district. Same item, but for non-item reasons the price is different and people pay it (not an auction, but reasons are similar).
And then the super crazy prices are a result of FOMO
Check out the number of bid retractions and times a card gets re-listed after "selling". Might give you one of the possible reasons.
But as far as I know, re-listings don't affect the original owner. He/she still gets paid out on the first sale. That's PWCC now listing their own card at that point, right?
I'm assuming people bid on their own cards.
No, the consignor will only get paid out on a legitimate sale.
I am not saying PWCC or Probstein shill their own auctions and then win the card. If the owner wins the card back they would only pay the commission fees to PWCC and Probstein and then re-auction the card with a new recorded price. When you see the same card listed 3 or 4 times in succession, or 3 bid retractions over $80,000 on a card that sells for $77,000 - I don't think it is name recognition that is getting that price.
