    LOL. I live in Spain. My working day is over when you are all up and about (east coast) or just waking to the new day (west coast)

    Thanks everyone who commented. The really satisfying thing about this find is that I live in Spain. Access to US coinage is a bit limited. This collector I am aquainted with mentioned he had a bag of Memorial cents he wanted rid of. I assumed he had gone through them and offered him 2 Euros for the bag (when I counted them there were 280 coins) which he accepted. The 1971 was the only variety coin in the bag so it must have been overlooked. Lucky me
