Which is most reliable?
Gixen
Gixen is who I use as well.
Why does Ebay function this way at all? Why not extend bidding if there is active bidding? A bid placed with less than 5 minutes remaining extends the bidding for 15 minutes for example? I would think this is the better option for sellers and it gives buyers the chance to pay what they really feel the item is worth without gambling on lucky chance.
Gixen for me. I switched after Bidding Scheduler continually failed. I used Gavelsnipe before that. With Gixen, I signed up for Mirror for like $5 a year which gives you a back-up snipe in case the first one fails. So far no issues after about a year.
I use E Snipe. It's not free, but has worked perfectly every time.
i use gixen as well
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Putting in another plug for Gixen. I just use the free version and haven't had any issues.
Gixen hasn't failed me yet, great free service
Gixen. Pay for the service to get two servers for added reliability. The developer is fairly active and still improving the product, it’s worth the small price.
Gixen here... I get the mirror simply to support them, the free service never failed me.
https://www.myibidder.com/ works great for me. Never missed a bid. Free too.
But yes, Gixen Mirror is probably the best.

The 4 winning snipes per month max is when I had to leave Gixen Free for another free service. Best option out there is the Gixen Mirror.

I used gavel snipe for a long time, but they had an issue a couple years ago, so I've used bidslammer every since.

given user here as well. ive had the mirror execute the winning bid many times over the main. well worth the $8 a year.

For the thousands in winning bids that I get a year from sniping, someone not paying $8 for a year of Gixen is just petty. I remember I used to use a service once upon at time where they would charge 1% of the winning bid! (think it was capped at like $5 or something)
Exactly. A few bucks a year is worth not missing out on a card I'll make hundreds of dollars on if I win it.
