Does PayPal side more with buyer or seller?

I recently purchased a 59 mantle which I sent in to PSA for grading. It came back that it was questionable that it was authentic. I contacted seller with no response. Contacted ebay and buyer responded no to a return, but because it was longer than 30 days, I was out of luck with ebay.. Still reached out to seller with no response. I contacted paypal and they got no response from him, so I escalated to claim. Does anyone have experience with paypal on how they will handle this claim? Do I have chance to get refund, if seller does not get back to them either?

How many days has it been since purchase... What service level did you send the card into PSA at. Assuming you used a CC with paypal and not balance or bank balance, you still have one more avenue to do a charge back.
Let us know the listing and the seller. Even if he didn't know, he has to respond, damn principle.
Because it is a condition/fraud issue and not a delivery issue where the seller can show proof, I would think the paypal scale is tipped in your favor.
You have 6 months to file a claim via PayPal if you used PayPal.

I filed claim with paypal and used CC.
PayPal will side with you and force a return. You'll may be asked to upload some basic documents showing that it was deemed non-authentic. As Dr. Grote said, you have an eternity with PayPal. If that does not work, you can also charge it back with your credit card (if you so wish).
However, this all does kind of lead to some questions that I will not claim to answer.
How long do you feel is an appropriate window?
How would you feel if you were the seller in this situation?
Do you personally think the item is not authentic? Did you think it was not authentic when you received the item originally?
buyer for the most part. not as easy as ebay but still fairly easy. but they flag too. repeat scammers will get the boot. but the real answer is the backing financial institute used to fund said purchase. they are at their mercy.
Buyer. In over 10 years I only had to file a claim with Paypal twice and only because the eBay process was a headache. Both times they refunded me immediately.

If I were seller and I truly did not know I would refund money
I thought it was authentic, which is why I sent to PSA
