Another 1855/854. That's three in one week: a VF35, an AG3, and now a late die state VF25, all found on eBay.

I can think of only a few all time picks in my years on the forum that might beat yours....

One was the guy who nabbed three raw full band Mercs from a fuzzy picture.

    Were they 42/1?

My mind is fuzzy as well.

    Hoping for a happy ending.

Screw that dealer. Shady, shady, shady.

Here’s another proof picked up as a business strike from a Whitman folder assortment.

Makes me sick! The fact that you paid for the coin got the email copy of the receipt and then they sent you the tracking... only to cancel the tracking with the USPS is sickening. Shame on the dealer. I will avoid them from here on out and I’m not the only one. At least PNG reversed its initial decision against you. Let’s see if their code of ethics is lived up to...

No trophy, but a pick nonetheless.

I just received a second 1855/854 half dollar in VF that was listed as a "normal" 1855. I wasn't certain about this one from the seller's pictures (below) but it turned out to be a early-mid die state with the underlying ball and flag of the first 5 visible and a strong "tine" present on the second 5. The coin was cleaned once but has retoned colorfully, if not nicely. Sorry that I have no photos of my own to share at the moment.

I picked this off eBay back in 2018. 1870 shield nickel FS-801 DDR. Sold it a month later for double what I paid.
