Deactivated Certification Number

I'm looking at a card that was listed as a 1-day auction on eBay. I just got this message when looking up the certification number at PSA. Anyone know why they would do this?

The certification number provided, has been intentionally DEACTIVATED in the database

    1-day auction and deactivated seem potentially like warning signs of a fraud grading label.

    I called the phone number that the Deactivation message listed, but got a recording that they are closed. Think I will just skip this auction. But now I'm concerned for other folks that might bid while not knowing there might be an issue with the certification number...

    it could be one of those cards caught by the 'sleuths' by blowout.

    Collecting RC's (mostly 40-60's)
