Thoughts on Dwayne Johnson Rock Bumble Bee UM

Full disclosure - I'm not a professional collector. I have a very high-quality Dwayne Johnson Rock Miami Bumble Bee card, still partially in the perforated sheet. Because of the size, PSA won't grade. Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

They won’t grade the sheet, like you said. If you want the card graded, you need to separate it.

Did you already fold the sheet on the perforation lines?

I am nervous for you about the right edge by the other guys shoulder.

Edit: That lower right corner on the back could prove to be a real issue too.

Looks a little abused, probably gonna graded out 4-6 range.

  • I've done nothing but keep it in an old bin for 25 years. Found it when I saw one sell for 15K. The bottom half, with Ray Lewis, was disconnected in about 1996. don't know where it is. I am totally lucky to still have it and the fact that much is a mess but Rock card is essentially untouched.

Doesn't look untouched to me... I see edge issues, surface issues by the left foot, The back bottom right corner issue, and looks like it might be a little fuggly around the perforations when you finally detach it. I'm sure it's still worth a grand or 2, but can't imagine you getting $15k for it.

You need to take it apart before we can give a better judgement on it. Can't be submitted attached to other cards.

Keeping it “in an old bin” is not the kind of archival-quality protection you need if you want to keep a card in high grade condition.

  • Correct, and had I know in 1994 what it would be worth in 2021, i would have been better, and probably gotten more copies of the sheet. But as someone who works in college athletics and worked the game they gave that out, i have a lot of crap and for 25 years, this was just another piece to the pile of crap.

As I stated earlier, I'm not a collector, just a guy with lots of crap.

We understand you aren't a collector... You said you have a high quality Rock. We pointed out it it appears to not be high quality and it does not look well taken care off. You then countered you took good care of it by leaving t stored in a "old bin" for the last 25 years. You asked for our advice, but seem to want to hear something else....
