That's what I see too since Economy is not available.

I guess it will be pretty much impossible to collect even hall of fame rookies with these prices. Is this supposed to be temporary to clear the backlog or permanent?

I've heard temporary. I've heard permanent. I've heard prices will continue going up. In other words, I don't know. Things are crazy right now but I agree it is going to make getting the cards I like to collect graded simply untenable (or at least, unreasonable). For me, anyhow. :|

ok, so grading is $25 for ultra modern, right. and to simply grade a pack issued auto is basically an additional $75?

    riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

    check please.

There shouldn't be any difference if they're grading both. I have some factory autos I'm sure wouldn't pass and were not likely signed by who they say did it.

well other than the modern card already being "verified" by the company. whereas in person they have to check against database autos, much more susceptible to being forged, then grade the actual auto. a little more work for IP vs pack issued. either way, $75 a pop, esp for pack issued is for the birds. baffled.

You would think with the heavy backlog, that prices would stay down. This is just getting absurd.

If I were PSA, I wouldn't put auto grades on without going through the steps to verify the auto ;) ...

yes, but i'm sure you understand the conflict of interest. they actually do reject an entire auto run of certain cards due to similar circumstances.

If you're talking the year cutoff, then, yes, that befuddles me (as exemplified by these two). I'm probably not aware of other circumstances, as they don't affect me personally. Would love some details in PM.

nothing too secretive. for example there was an entire rash of magic johnson stickers affixed to some scrub and maybe vice versa. they wouldn't slab those for the longest time. could have changed, haven't checked in a while. then there was also the case of some kevin durant upper deck stickers that got out or backdoored perhaps, i think. forget the details, but a lot of cards they wouldn't slab as authentic. i think they would only blue flip the cards.

Public on BO, doesn't equate to public. I can't stand the toxicity of most of what is posted there and visit only when directed to a specific thread. If it doesn't affect golf, I could give a TART these days, everything else is for sale and I might run across it when dealing with listing it to sell.

I would be shocked if I sent in the B. Lark. for dual and it even came back Auth on the auto side.

lost me. how'd we get to blowout again?

That's whacked out. What gives? Does he sign two different ways or do you believe one of those sigs is illegitimate?

Sometimes on different versions of auto cards (century version here) they have nicknames signed or put something extra on auto..
Was Larkin called B Lark.. just a thought.
Are all the century ones signed like so ?

What does that mean for the group sub from 13 months ago? Are we going to be done at the price we paid or upcharged 85.00 for each card?
