He was pushing for Tua to get some starting time then pouted and cried when it actually happened, then he retires for a few days and now signs with Washington lol I’m convinced he has a split personality.

If Washington can add a few pieces in FA and the draft, specifically help at WR, LB, and CB, this might be the best team Fitzpatrick has played on in a long time.

After every big contract he signed he tanked so badly he was cut the next year. Not sure of the exact stats but he was 6-2 in Buffalo putting up incredible stats. Signed a huge contract, tank, cut. Jets same thing. I guess Washington doesn’t think $10M is enough for him to get too comfortable. Time will tell

He had painted himself into, quite successfully, the mercenary QB role. When that stuff with Tua happened, I think he was just very emotionally invested and felt like it was his team vs he was holding things down until Tua got started.

Edit because auto correct turned Tua into that

He has some incentive perks that could up the pay to 12 million. Maybe shaving is one of them?

Agreed I just thought it was funny watching him do fist pumps on the sideline cheering him on and literally the next few days he was telling the media how he was hurt and upset over it, it was weird
