1956 Topps Mickey Mantle - What Grade and Level to Submit?

Hi Everyone,
So a friend asked me what grade this card would get, and then what level to submit for grading. I gave some preliminary thoughts, and I'm hoping for some feedback from the experts here who have submitted cards like this (it has some "surface wrinkles" and a small paper-loss or paper-chip half way down his neckline. What range of grade could this card get?
First-impression eye-appeal is really nice! Closer inspection does show some areas of concern...

whatever you would need to replace it if lost or damaged. in my experience what level has no effect on the grade.
The surface wrinkle will automatically bring it down to a PSA5. It will probably grade between a 3 and a 5. Once holdered, it will be a nice looking 3 to 5 and you should no problem selling it at market price. I would submit it under express grading. Good luck!
I'd say with the paper loss, it is going to be hard to get more than a 2.

I'd say a 2 as well. Crease at bottom left and at bottom right apparently show on both sides of the card. Even if it didn't have paper loss, it probably would grade higher than 3. Small paper loss drops it at least a grade, I would think. On the plus side, the centering is not bad, the corners are very decent, and the color looks good to me. Who knows what PSA would do, but it looks like a "high end" 2 to me.
Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.
Wow, it'd be a super nice looking two, that's for sure.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I wasn't sure how the tiny paper-loss on his neckline would hit hurt the grade. Is it possible I misworded it, and instead it is considered "chipping of enamel" instead (which is still only a 2, but was just curious to know what is "chipping of enamel") Appreciate the insight!
I'm thinking with the paper loss, no matter how small, it would top out at a 2 as well but wouldn't be surprised with a 1. It would probably be one of the nicest looking 1/2's out there though. Great eye appeal. Might also get a ST qualifier due to the stain on the back right border.
Nice looking card. If he doesn’t want to mess with PSA I will take it off his hands as it sits. I will send an offer over.

That would have been a great card for Mick to sign.
I have a nice eye appeal Mick that got a 1 for spider wrinkles (surface only). They are tough on Mantles. If you grade, assume pricing based on a 1 or 2. Nice card though.

Wow that card looks terrific for the grade! When I think of a "1" the cards usually look like they were between the bicycle spokes...
Great looking "1"
I don't want to hijack the thread - but the card looks much worse when tilted at the light in just the right angle....

Choose the cheapest option available. It's like a 2.
The '56 Mantle is pretty much my favorite card. Love The MIck's smile and what about that catch! Yours presents very well, love the centering & crisp color but as others have pointed out the wrinkles & slight paper loss will bring it down. Still get it graded though.
Bosox1976 that's about the nicest PSA 1 '57 I've sever seen!
