Looks like I have figured out the unknown star ranges of 1928C and B USN's

For the $2 USN, 1928C, the serial break from 1928B to 1928C is *01056000A.

I figured out that $2 range in 2015, but couldn't figure out the $5 1928A to 1928B star break, until now !!

I was able to break down the D15332xxxA range, which a hoard was found in the 1970's.

That range had *034094xxA notes sprinkled in. It looks like roughly 10 packs of 1928B's were found with roughly 20 star notes in the bunch.

D15228001A was the first 1928B $5 USN, making the D15332000A notes about 140,000 into the series.

It appears that *03408001A is the first 1928B star. In the pack, *034094xxA notes are involved and are about 140 numbers above *03408001A, which would perfectly fit the 1 percent star note ratio.

In addition, the first 1928B $5 USN's were printed June 18, 1934 with no mixing of 1928A.

The D15332xxxA notes would be within the first three printings of 1928B. The *03409xxxA notes have plate positions A through F, which would make the first serial *03408001A.

Therefore I am almost 100 percent sure that *03408001A is the first 1928B star note.

    Great research, THX
My records have written down that D14724106A was the first 1928-B $5 USN, not sure where I saw that.

I had to do a double take - I thought you had one of my Star Notes - LOL, one digit off
