Upcharge question

Apologies if asked and answered before but if I subbed prior to the 3/1 rate increase at the $199 max declared value level and later this year (or next year) they get to grading my cards and decide some warrant an upcharge will I be asked to pay $50 per card (the pre-3/1 Regular rate for Max values up to $999)? If some are barely over am guessing they won’t but I could see some grading out at values that are now well over. Just wanted to see if they’ll charge the pre-3/1 Regular rate ($50/per) or post-3/1 ($100/per). Thanks

As I’ve told others asking the same question - wait until it happens (chances are it won’t) and if it does, just make your case on why you shouldn’t be up charged.

With PSA under new management no one, likely not even the new management, can say for sure.

My guess is they'll only come to you for more money if you get a significantly higher value from the grade. I don't think you can have success arguing against the charge. I tried to make a case that one crazy sale of $3500 for a 1972 PSA 10 Tug McGraw IA shouldn't warrant a fee based on that one sale. They wouldn't budge. Of course I ended up selling the card for far less than that value.

I don’t have a problem with them charging an upcharge fee, just trying to determine if it will be the pre or post-3/1 rates. (Pre-3/1 would seem justified if I got my order in prior to 3/1)
