$604 isn’t a lot of money. I mean I wouldn’t just throw that amount at 1 in a million long shot though. 15-15 is insane, literally insane
Yeah. Good point. That is the question. How much would you throw at a long shot ? I guess $6 to me may be $600 to someone else.

Yea it’s all depending on the person and their situation. For me I need much better odds to throw $600 at something, for a long shot like that? Eh maybe $50 just for fun. Either way though I know guys that couldn’t imagine ever buying a $20 scratch ticket while I know others that have no problems going all in blind with $600 in chips in a Hold ‘em cash game.
Lots of money floating around in that Valley Forge area. It's one of the wealthiest areas in the Eastern states.
A $604 bet is nothing over there to a number of gamblers. While this particular type of bet might be unusual, placing hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a bet to try to catch a horse racing pick six carry over pool which sometimes goes into the millions, is not unusual at all.
I'm a tight wad by nature, I'll do anything to save a buck. My wife buys brand name stuff, I always buy store brand just to save money. I do this strictly to save money for boxing cards. I'm obsessed with boxing cards and I'm on ebay the minute I wake up and all day long and I check it right before I go to bed. For me, there's no better feeling than finding a good boxing card and I'll stop at nothing to save every nickel I can for that feeling. My wife eats Lucky Charms, I eat Magic Stars, it's the same thing but $1.50 cheaper.

It's not the same thing. One has charms which are lucky, the other has stars which are magic.
Might i suggest you start paying closer attention to the labeling on the cereal boxes.

My wife gets to eat rainbows, hearts and four leaf clover marshmallows. I can't even tell what the heck my marshmallows are!

That's what i've been trying to tell ya. The rainbows, hearts, and four leaf clover marshmallows are well worth the extra $1.50 expense to some people, versus eating unidentified marshmallows.

I just can't do it Steve, that's $1.50 that can be used towards Joe Louis. I'll just have to wonder what the heck my marshmallows are!
Several years ago I ordered a case of this. You couldn't get it in stores but you could
order it online. Ate it all the time for breakfast 45-50 years ago. Haha.
Double D- Seeing the new mtn dew plastic bottles makes me cringe. The glass bottles used to be pure art.
I own one of these unopened but not BBCE verified.
@Darin, I love the glass bottles as well, the soda tastes a lot better from a glass bottle also. I don't like plastic bottles. I didn't realize Mountain Dew had been around that long, I've never seen that design before. I wish they would have kept that look instead of their new corny logo.
Mountain Dew came in those bottles way back in the 50's-60's, but it was marketed almost exclusively in the deep South. we took a family trip to Florida in 1963 and that was the first time I ever saw or tasted it. seems like it was the same with Dr. Pepper, although that had been around a lot longer.
Speaking of food in the 50s and 60s, has anyone seen the History channel's series on food in America ?
How McDonald's and Burger King, and Reese's and Hershey got started and during the war and recession.
Very cool shows if you ever get around to it.

I'd bet $604 on a turtle race if one winks at me on the way to the starting gate

The chances of hitting 4 out of 4 aren't that great. Never would I think I could hit 15 out of 15.

Million dollar hit, nice.

$10 tops for me, and that would be a 6 teamer.
A trifecta on jai alai is the biggest parlay play I've ever done.

$604 would be way too much for me to wager, and just had a big bowl of this........................
No thank you sir, I prefer Crisp Crunch, same thing but $1.50 cheaper!

Mountain Dew, can't do it. Joe makes me drink Mountain Lion, it's $1.00 cheaper!

Dam i've got a good joke about that Mountain Lion soda based on the color and where it came from, but i can't tell it here or i'll get whacked. 😵

At least you would go out with a bang.
The joke had something to do with a mountain lion marking its territory, but i shall go no further with it.

Them dam rabbits, always causing problems.
