An attorney who specializes in internet crime will not only investigate your legal rights but also weigh the pros and cons of filing a lawsuit. Please note that you must take appropriate action within 45 days of paying for an eBay item. Although frustrating, you have viable options for fighting a dishonest eBay seller. Even if you do not ultimately file a lawsuit, the right attorney can offer advice as to the best way for you to proceed.

6 years later you may be out of options with the eBay seller? Yeah it does suck!

Is there 0% chance a fake could get PSA slabbed?

    sellers name please.

depending on your/his state laws, the statue of limitations could have already passed OR begin once you know you've been defrauded. consult an attorney and file a police report either way.

but again, outing a seller that isn't doing the honorable thing by acknowledging a message only protects us all. future ebayers google searches will thank you!

  • Sorry you're having to deal with this dgordo. How did you determine the card was fake? To my eye it looks good. Just curious what to keep an eye our for. Best of luck getting this resolved.

At this juncture to protect yourself; retain an attorney and do not add more ink on a public internet forum.

Geez it's stories like this that makes me paranoid about buying on ebay. I've seen members here post links to scams and as a casual collector, the cards look authentic to me.

If PSA Graded the card, then perhaps the PSA Guarantee might help recover some of the loss...

Sounds like it was bought raw. Send to auction house who then sent it to PSA to have graded before listing for auction sale.

If was bought raw , and the auction house sent it tomPSA, why PSA graded and encapsulated? If was altered or trimmed

Appears a lot we do not know , but if it was a purchased PSA10 encapsulated then it's one for the legal system to sort out. If it was purchased raw then 6 years later found to be trimmed then its merely a sad, but not uncommon story
