PSA/USPS question

If I'm traveling when my PSA sub comes back can my son who lives in another household pick up the package? They would probably leave the slip that he can get to. He would then need to go to the post office. I don't want top have issues with this. Anyone have solid answer about this??

When he presents his ID at the post office with the "sorry we missed you" USPS slip, if the address on his ID does not match the delivery address on the USPS slip, I do not think they will release the package to him.

This is what I'm thinking....so what is the work around?

put your mail on hold and pick it up when you return

When going on vacation I have all my packages held at the Post Office.

Have PSA change the shipping address to your son.

That could be the answer. They would have to put it in his name also. Thanks.

you could always speak with your local post office in person and show ID and see if they can note for it to be released to someone else. if not, just have the post office hold it. I've picked up my parents held mail from the post office (they dont live in my state full time). my dad called ahead and had me authorized to pick up their bin full of mail.
