I need one of those!
While obviously, it could have been phrased more accurately, it didn’t say “90% silver”.

Mint mark?.... That is a proof, no?
Collector, occasional seller
Does it matter?

Last silver coins struck for circulation ? No 70 P minted & the 70 D was only issued in mint sets. Seems to me the last silver for circulation should have been the 69 D
Yes, am I looking at a 1970 no S proof? If so I had no idea any existed.

Or a "no D" business strike. As the OP said, does it matter?

As ChrisH82 indicated, it mattered to him, if he was looking at a 1970 no S Proof.

I don't see a record of any such coin having sold at Heritage.
Apparently, it is an altered image. I guess it's a little joke from the guys at Numismatic News...
I agree.
If the 1970 half counts then so do the 40% Ikes (maybe).
If they show a 1970 Proof, then they are still making silver proof Kennedy for circulation
I never heard of that Kennedy.
Oh, I have one of those.....Unfortunately, My camera isn't working, or I would gladly post a photo....
I think there's probably a good reason for that...
I think perhaps @MrEureka saw right away that the photo wasn't legit, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to share it with us.
I, for one, found it amusing.
That would be a cool coin to own, if genuine, but it's very easy to remove a mint mark from a photo. The 1975 No S proof dime, with a population of 2, sold for $456.000 a year and a half ago. Imagine what a 1970 no S half would bring!
tx for the update. last i checked was about half of that.
