Are "up-charges" to current orders at PSA affected by new pricing increase?

Hi guys,
Quick question... I have an order of 11 cards that were marked as "received" by PSA in early February this year. I sent those cards at the "regular" rate of $50 for cards valued under $999.99 understanding I could be up-charged to the $75 level if they end up more valuable after grading. Do the older, pre-March 1st "up-charge" rates still apply to orders that have been received by PSA but haven't been graded yet?

    Thanks Mike.
Basically, I'm asking if the old up-charge rates will be honored like the old grading fees will be honored because they were received by PSA before the price increases.

While they list value ranges, it’s always been a rule of thumb and was not applied unless the graded value was far above the service level. They aren’t intensely scrutinizing every card for value. I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I’d like to know as well as I have 4 submissions at PSA and may have some up charges depending on grades. Don’t think we should be charged the new rates on an up charge if they were submitted/received before the increases were posted.

Here’s what you do. First, don’t worry about it, because it probably won’t happen. Second, if it does happen, evaluate whether it was justified under the old pricing and valuation levels at the time of submission. If it was, then celebrate your big value increase. Finally, if it wasn’t justified under the old price and value levels, then gather the examples and explain to them why you shouldn’t be up charged.

That’s it. Worrying about something that hasn’t happened won’t do you any good. There’s already been other posts about this filled with outrage over hypotheticals. Wait and see if it happens, and then act accordingly.

Wish I read this before getting my panties in a twist earlier...
