PSA graded wax packs - cases and damage

Hey guys. Have any of you ever seen a case get damaged like this in shipping ? I shipped a pack out I sold on ebay in a bubble mailer and the customer (new ID created in February with zero feedback) buys the pack. 9 days after the pack is delivered the customer asks for a return and says the case arrived damaged. I've never seen a case get damaged like this, other than when you take a hammer and screw driver to it, trying to get the pack out. But I wanted to ask to see if anyone else has seen similar damage during shipping. I asked for pictures of the damaged packaging so I could open a case with USPS and he hasn't responded.

Side note. If the customer keeps pursuing a return on a 45 dollar pack that you strongly feel he purposely ruined would you honor the return and just eat it, to save your perfect feedback score ?

I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

There is no way it was damaged like that during shipping .

It’s a dilemma. I would probably tell him to keep the pack, refund his $50 and block him from bidding again.

Devils advocate; That damage is Exactly like a Graded Wax Pack I sold years ago. The edge of the Bubble Miler was ran over by the Delivery Truck. How do I Know? Well the Tire track on the package was the first hint! What does the Packaging look like, that's usually your first clue!

    Yeahah!

The Pack still good, make him send it back!

id ask him to send the pack back for sure. The trouble is, do you pay for shipping or does he have to cover it?

Have him send it back. Give him a refund. Block him from your auctions. I wouldn't leave feed back. It's not worth the risk of him leaving negative feedback.

Dumb question - but you checked the Cert number against what you sent him, right?

The issue isn't if you are worried about your feedback rating, it is about metrics if you want Top seller/power seller status. You can only have .5% of your sales over a period of time get decided for the buyer by eBay and still qualify for the status. If you don't sell that much, then it isn't an issue. But I wouldn't really fight this one as the ebay rep who will decide this case has no way of knowing if it was shipping damage or not, so they will default and back the buyer. As for the return shipping, you will have to pay that, you will create a First Class return service label through eBay, I don't know what that costs as i have not done a return in many years. But at least you will get the pack back and you can relist damaged and say it's perfect for someone who plans to rip it...

Thanks. I was thinking the same. I literally just moved to power seller so it's probably not in my best interest to fight it even though I feel like I'm being stolen from. I asked for pictures of the packaging which he has ignored. I'm hoping he just completes the job and busts the pack out. I'm 100% certain that is what he was trying to do and didn't realize it's pretty tough to bust those new pack cases.

Just remember you first agree to the return, issue the label and then refund AFTER it comes back. I can't tell you how many times peeps refund before getting it back.

unfortunately, you will have to process the return and cover return shipping. If it is not worth it to you to cover shipping, you could just tell him to keep it. it seems though that this item could be shipped in a bubble mailer for 5 or 6 bucks.
