For those of us who remember the first NFL pregame show on CBS with Irv Cross, Brent Musberger, and a woman I can't remember, Phyllis George ???
Brent Musburger, who worked with The NFL Today pregame show, spoke to Eagles’ website reporter Chris McPherson, stating Cross was a genuinely caring person.
“I’ve been around all kinds of people, from every walk of life,” Musburger told McPherson. “I don’t know that I could give you one person who was nicer than Irv Cross. He was a constant gentleman.”

He was a good guy, nobody ever had a bad thing to say about him. He paved the way for a lot of african american broadcasters today. RIP.
