    Overused die. Orange peel effect. Often seen on nickels in the 1980s.

    Anyway, it is very common and you’ll see it on dimes and quarters as well.

    And locating examples without that telltail Orange peel effect, is something a lot of folk haven't caught on to.....all the way to the top.

    I'm half temped to pull the photos that are posted, but I'm afraid that might come back and kick me in the butt, so to speak. Is that allowed and commonly done?
    I have tried to enhance for other determinations, as long as the poster is aware due to the new copy of his photo then I delete all photos from my PC.
    I have a good memory but my pc always wins.
    Also to answer your suggestion, (TY) first I want to understand and then apply what I've learned.
    Hope that made sense?
