PVC in plastic sleeves - ok or not?

Trying to understand this. I’m about to order plastic protective sleeves for my old bank notes. In coins, I know to stay away from PVC in holders. But, some of the plastic bank note sleeves seem to show PVC and state that they won’t damage the bills. I’m looking at the BCW brand. Sure could use some thoughts.

I've always bought Denly's holders because of the archival quality mylar.

@smh A general rule of thumb is that the PVC types are safe for short term storage or use. Long term storage is not recommended for about the same reason as coins. Long term storage (years) is recommended to use a mylar sleeve.

I use mylar exclusively now. I think the rigid PVC, without plasticizers, is not as bad as the flexible stuff, but I avoid it anyways.
