card currently resides in a psa 9oc holder.
want to get it in a straight 7 holder.
what's standard operating procedure on?
review w/ (no qualifiers) route?
reholder w/ note or something?
other details:
$3K value card.
older holder & no cracks or anything in said holder.
if reholders/reviews are taking forever, dont mind upgrading to different route/service level.
have not done a review/reholder in a while.

It’s scary, but I’d probably crack and resub with a no qualifier note. I could be mistaken, but I don’t think they have an option to automatically reholder with a review any more.
Just out of curiosity, is it too OC for an 8?
i don't know why people don't go "no qualifiers" to begin with. it's not like there is a 10oc. so you're basically starting a grade down, which would make the card a 7.
anyways, it's an 82 ric flair. problem is, it ranks up there w/ the 93 jeter sp and a ton come back minsiz. with what the card for goes for these days vs my archaic $105 inventory sticker on the back, i'd be more than happy w a straight 7. but i think it could 8.
i don't normally buy cards w qualifiers, but this was bought 10 years ago. just never encountered a subbing scenario like this one...
Review w/NQ
what i was thinking. but, if it doesn't bump, (and could care less if it does, not my main goal) does it ensure it gets reholdered w straight flip?
Nothing is guaranteed, but as long as centering is within PSA 7 specs, shouldn't be an issue. The problem is going to be if centering is outside of PSA 7, it's not an automatic two grade drop and could go down further in a straight grade.
you're not telling me what i want to hear kyle! 😠 😉
I guess that's why I'm not too popular these days
and precisely why you are w me! 😉
Better the hard truths, I say, than the comforting fantasy or something like that.
You may want to call (personal sales Rep, if you have one) to see what your options are. I may be wrong, but I don't think review with NQ is an option. All they're doing on review is seeing if the card was graded properly or worthy of a higher grade. There's certainly no way to specify NQ on the submission form for a review so you would have to explain it in a note. Good luck.
broccoli in the teeth.
i did. he's san fran time. just trying to get out today w the rumored impending pricing overhaul and restructuring that could be taking place monday.
how do you submit cards for
a. mechanical error you didn't originally submit. not looking for a freebie. don't mind paying.
b. for a card that should be differentiated between versions. ie just listed as 1979 quelcom that you want listed as either the large and/or the small.
For your part a. - I recently did 2 mechanical errors through the fairly new Customer request center in the My Account section and it was pretty easy. The cards were originally submitted by me, but I don't think it matters who submitted them.
I don't know if this answers your b. part, but both of mine were versioned incorrectly and that was my reason for sending them in. One was a pink version and labeled as the base version, and one was the base version and got labelled as a blue version.
cool! and thank you. i will try that now if the site cooperates!
For b. follow the same steps. I got a bunch of Quelcom's labeled '-Large' that way. IIRC, there's no '-Small' labeling, all the no notations should be small once everyone gets there labels corrected.
