PSA grading standard where auto signer left errant mark on card

A friend of mine has a high value card he is considering crossing over to PSA. The signor (Lebron) left an errant pen mark during the original signing (factory/pack issued auto). The current auto grade is an 8, presumably due to the errant mark. The entire card grade is a BGS 8 as well.

He will cross it as a standard crossover, not dual service. However, we are wondering how PSA views errant marks. Would they automatically hit it with an MK qualifier? Since the original signor did it, would it be considered only part of the auto grade if done? Would this be factored into the surface grade? My assumption is it will only be considered part of the auto grade if applicable even if its not part of the rest of the auto and should not be subject to surface grade or MK qualifier since it was done by the signor. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess (only a guess) is that PSA isn’t consistent about this. I have a John Hannah RC on which his thumb left a partial print separate from the auto (by his ear). It got a good grade despite the mark, so that didn’t seem to have an effect. Don’t know if the LeBron would be viewed the same or not.

I have also seen inconsistent results, though my 1 pre-certified card that has a mark got the MK qualifier
