Severe leg injuries has been reported.
He was on the way to meet up with Drew Brees, I think for golf training/lessons
    Good luck Tiger!

serious to critical leg injuries, in surgery since early afternoon. Local Sherriff presser at 3:00 PT, so about 20 minutes.

Compound leg fracture and "shattered ankle". He was talking during extraction through the windshield and wanting his agent to pick up his stuff, so he's got that going for him.

Jaws of life used to get him out. One car rollover.

    False

2:03 PM PT -- Contrary to the initial release sent out by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department ... a source with the fire department tells us the jaws of life were NOT used to free Tiger from the crash.

Wouldn’t want a wreck like this and the injuries sustained to happen to anyone. Hoping and praying for a full recovery. If initial reports are near accurate, shattered ankle, compound fractures in both legs, he’s got a loooong road back to normalcy. As an avid golfer and a fan, Tiger creates a buzz at a tourney that none of us will probably ever see again in our lifetimes. If he ever plays a pro tournament again, it will be a miracle. Hoping for a normal life for this guy.

now that it's confirmed that it's not life threatening, and let me preface this w having mad respect for tigs, but the only thing this man needs to be driving is a golf ball. 4th serious incident behind the wheel.

  • On a crazy coincidence.... I literally dropped off a PSA Submission at the post office at 11:45 a.m. today..... which included a 2001 Upper Deck Tiger Woods. I was going through the 6 or 8 that I have this morning, looking for a few that would grade high. Sounds like he is going to miss a significant amount of time. I'm very happy he survived this horrible accident. Hoping for a full recovery so he can enjoy the rest of his life with his family and friends. His golf career doesn't really matter much at this time.

I genuinely hope Tiger successfully recovers and can live a normal life. I also sincerely hope he was not impaired in any way, whether it be prescription meds or otherwise. As to whether he ever plays competitively again is of far less importance IMHO and I honestly can't see it happening. Even though he has had his faults in his past, Tiger has done a ton for others in his life. Prayers his way.
