Is this environmental or a planchette error?

Found this coin roll hunting and I'm still trying to decide if it's a planchette error, or environmental damage. Some of the petting that is impressed deeply still has copper and luster I don't get it.

Without a doubt environmental damage. It’s basically corrosion and zinc rot.
Obvious damage/rot.
Spend it fast as it is disintegrating.
What it is should be painfully obvious.
Is it terminal, doctor?
corroded zinc is black.
as zinc corrodes it falls away from the surface like rust flakes off and not like the surface corrosion/tarnish of silver
Obvious extreme environmental damage.
If it were a planchet error, the strike would be over the top of the defect. [The planchet exists before the coin is struck.] You should be able to tell by the raised dings and damaged devices that the damage occurred AFTER striking.
