I wanted them to draft him too, but I have heard so many negative opinions on this that I am unsure.

History has proven that usually in order to win Super Bowls, you've got to draft a quarterback.
QB's are hard to gauge for future stardom because a lot of them are such pampered prima donnas. But that's the nature of the NFL game, and if ya wanna win championships, that's the best way to do it.
And yes, i think the Eagles need to draft a QB with their first pick.
If it doesn't pan out, then it doesn't pan out. But at least i'll know they're trying to win another Super Bowl.
I agreed with this. But I would like to add.... if your team reaches and picks a QB, who really should be a much lower pick, in the first round, that is often a huge mistake. So picking a QB just to take one is not good. If there isn't one available, you should pick a position of need.
I would love if NE would pick a QB in round 1.
