Am I mis-remembering re submission vouchers?

dogwooddogwood Posts: 1,935 ✭✭✭✭

I have a platinum membership 8 coin voucher set to expire at the end of March.
Most of the coins I’ve submitted in the past on vouchers were $300-$1500, Barbers and Seated. At least I thought so.
I logged on and the limit per coin is $300. Economy Service is the only option for pre ‘65.
Did something change? I really don’t recall getting back a bunch of sub $300 coins, and I’ve used probably 8 vouchers on about 20 total submissions over the years. I thought Regular Service was part of the deal.
Please to assist. I don’t even have my paper records handy to research.
Thanks

    From the redeeming vouchers on the PCGS website.

    "Voucher is not valid for Restoration Services, Mint Errors, Special Issues, Additional Services, Guarantee Premium fees or coins valued over $2,500."

    Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions

    @dogwood

    "The Collectors Club voucher may be applied to either the Regular Standard or Gold Shield service. You may submit your coins for either Raw, Crossover, Regrade or Reconsideration service. You cannot submit U.S. and World coins together and you cannot mix raw coins, Crossovers, Reconsiderations or Regrades on the same submission form.

    Voucher is not valid for Mint Errors, Special Issues, First Strike fees, Variety Attribution fees, Oversized Holder fees, Guaranteed Premium fees or coins valued over $2,500. Additional information may be located with the Submission Guidelines. Vouchers are valid for submissions to the PCGS U.S. office only. Visit www.pcgs.com/SubmissionGuide for further details."

    Additionally, the "2021 Service & Fees" table shows a "maximum coin value" of $2,500 for "collectors club vouchers".

    Bottom Line - ASSuming your coin is not one of the listed exceptions, you SHOULD be getting the $2,500 max value associated with the "regular service level", NOT the $300 max value associated with the "economy service level".

    I do not have a great deal of experience with the online submission process. So, I am unable to offer any specific guidance. Perhaps someone with more experience will 'chime in'.

    Good Luck !!!

    @dogwood

    You inspired me to experiment with the online submission system...

    Try changing the "Service Group" from "Standard" to "Gold Shield".
    Once you have done this, the "Regular" service level should be available.

    Note - "Regular Level and higher includes Gold Shield and TrueView™ at no additional cost."

    Thanks relics and MetroD for your posts. Very thoughtful.

    I still see weirdness. I’ll be pursuing this to the authorities.
