In Today's Market What Would You Do If.........

Everybody has a handful of cards they have never even thought of selling. They are cards that you wanted and finally got and are why you collect in the first place. BUT what would you do in today's crazy market if some of those are going for 3x,4x.5x what you paid for them.
Easy to say sell, but now you will not have that card anymore and I would feel like I sold my soul to the devil.
I've got a lot of Steeler HOF RC's in high grade but can't see me getting rid of them........it's why I started in the first place to get these from my childhood.

Which would you rather have, the cards or the money?
Scan the greenbacks, sort, catalog, get out the iphone to admire all the dollars.
IDK, cards would have to go up A LOT more til I start selling.
I don't really care if cards I have go down in value. It's not the point to me

For me, it really has never been about money. If card prices go up (which many are guaranteed to give a return at some point), that's great but I can say that I have cards that I would not sell because I would never be able to get them back again, and I'm not talking about an 89 Griffey UD either. Plus, it also helps when you aren't in debt and have your back against a wall so no temptation to sell on this end. Owning the cards I have brings me joy in itself, not money. Money is what I already used to obtain my cards.
