Advise please! 1990 Donruss RED/RED (aka FRONT/FRONT) test cards (not aqueous, error, or blue/white)
Need some input or feedback...level of possible interest, how to start putting a value on them when there are little to no comps, how to sell (individually vs in lots vs the whole lot, ebay vs Facebook marketplace vs auction house), etc...
We have a unique find that I would Like to get some input and guidance on. My husband found some 1990 Donruss Red/Red Test cards. They have a player photo on both sides (different players). They were purchased 1990-91 time frame and purchased as a lot with some other cards. They are in pristine condition. They came already cut, not in sheets, like I have seen on YouTube. From the research we have done, someone said they were proof pages that were scraps. They are usually discarded, but this person thought possibly some were “backdoored” by an employee. We have no idea how many could possibly out there. I can tell you that they are hard to find info on, and pricing on eBay is scarce. And from what I have heard, PSA won’t grade them.
There are a few good player cards, and several commons. I will post a sample pic of the couple we took pics of...and here is a link to a YouTube video that shows the cards in action to prove they are real! https://youtube.com/shorts/DDBlMCc5SY4

I'm sorry you don't like the answers you've been given, but our opinions aren't going to change the third time around.
Found a BCGS graded Ricky Henderson/Dave Bergman listed on eBay for $150. If BCGS will grade them then PSA probably will too. Only question remains, are they worth grading? I would watch that one listed on eBay and see what it sells for. If they can’t get at least $20 for it then it’s not worth grading and that would mean you send your cards value submission level pre 2017 at $12 per card shipping and insurance to and from PSA and you net a little more than $5 on the sale. You may be able to get $5 per card without grading them.

Just because BGS (or SGC) grades something, does not mean PSA will. These would fall in the likely BGS-only category if you would decide to grade.
I have not received any responses on this from this message board, so not sure what you are referring to. I have posted to other boards and gotten a few mild helpful tips. I am trying to reach out to as many groups as I can to hopefully catch someone’s eye that might have any kind of clue what these are about and how to proceed with them. If you don’t have anything nice to say, scroll on. Have a good day.
Haven’t seen many answers yet. Can you please direct me where it has been answered. I tried posting this thread before and said it was waiting for approval to be posted, then could not find the previous posts in the search bar, so if you know where to dig up any previous answers, I would love to know.

Personally, I don’t think they’re standard errors/misprints. I could be wrong, but they look to have more gloss than a standard 90 Donruss. If it was me, I wouldn’t sell them and would continue to track down more information.
Do you have any regular 90 Donruss to compare the gloss to?
My husband posted that and I had no idea, so I will take the time to read through the comments.
We do have regular Donruss, and I would say the fronts are glossy like the originals, the backs are definitely not as glossy but not truly matte either. Kind of an in between.
The advice I gave your husband still stands. Take a look.

Thanks, I read through it. Most of the comments helped immensely with how to proceed.
BGS calls these "Double Fronts". There are multiple variations based on card stock. Each card seems to have a "glossy" or "sheen" and a "dull" side variant. Some have double "glossy/Sheen" front and back. This is my variant checklist of Griffey's that I have found so far:
Donruss Red / Red Test #365 (Griffey side Dull) (Ken Oberkfell on Back)
Donruss Red / Red Test #365 (Griffey side Dull) (Craig Lefferts on Back)
Donruss Red / Red Test #365 (Griffey side Sheen)
Donruss Red / Red Test #365 (Both side Sheen)
Donruss Red / Red Test Diamond King (Griffey side Dull) (Mark Gardner on Back)
