Best $40 ever spent - signed Michael Jordan Jersey! Now what?
I bought this signed jersey at a garage sale on 1/15/21. It comes with a great story. The seller was the original owner who won it in a radio sweepstakes in 1990. Not being a basketball fan, he kept it stored away since then in his basement. I asked him if he had any sports memorabilia for sale and then he remembered about the jersey. He told me, his words, "I have a jersey signed by that guy who played for the Bulls." I said "Michael Jordan and he said "Yeah, that's him." Needless to say I thought I was about to get duped but when he presented me the jersey, the original packaging and original prize winning letter addressed to him. I took a chance. He wanted $50 but I haggled him to $40 (Man am I cheap). Anyway, I went home and immediately shipped it out to JSA. I was not expecting it to come back authentic. You know the saying if it is to too good to be true...Today the good news came in! AUTHENTIC! I want to sell it but I don't know if I should go to eBay or try somewhere else. I have never sold anything this valuable before. For those members with experience in sales, what should or shouldn't I do to maximize my profit? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks is advance.

Donna Weigeshoff signature is very suspect. Lots of undue pressure points; and that D looks like a J. And then there’s the FFs that are SSs.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
First, go back and give the guy his extra $10.
That is very mild considering what he might hear from the masses.
I thought Jordan played for the Wizards last time I checked? I think you got taken my man.
Guess I'm becoming more kind and gentle as my age advances
Very atypical of a Wolverine I might add . . .
I'm a Boilermaker, Barry's the Wolverine
Well then, now I like you again!
I'd be interested in the jersey if you want to make a quick buck on it and not deal with the ebay buyer shenanigans. I'll shoot you a PM for more photos.

I'd have taken the $50 flyer just to have a "talk about piece" I'd be framing for my sports room if it turns out to be fake . Let's get that out of the way.
If I did want to think about further "authenticity" questions on the jersey signature after taking said $50 flyer, I know enough people who are Jordan auto "experts". I can consult them at any time of day or night on the auto authenticity. If a majority had issues with it- I'd mark it as a " talk about piece" and go from there, either putting it in my sports room as something to stare at during hoop season, or seeing if I could recoup layout plus some extra elsewhere from my peeps plenty of whom have stuff they know is not real displayed but just to have talk about pieces when having guests.
If however it were "authentic"-- well JSA is the last authentication I'd use. PSA/DNA only that's it on Jordan items. I'd give the same folks who responded first chance to make offers before putting it on any auction site.
God knows on a personal level I'd never compound one mistake ( buying a fake item I didn't do my homework on) by making a 2nd mistake ( using an authenticator known as a rubber stamper).
My opinion of course-
Jeff
I'm surprised to hear your skepticism of JSA items. My understanding is they are well respected in the industry. Where does your stance come from?
