Closing Price Variances on HOF cards

I’ve noticed some healthy closing price differences - within same grade - on 79 Gretzky, Bird / Magic, 54 Aaron’s, 58 Jim Brown’s, others. I get “high/low for the grade, centering, eye appeal” factors, but it seems the swings are wider than usual. Maybe I am over thinking it.

Anyone else notice this?

This is just my opinion but I think some sellers are bidding another sellers card up. (same player and grade , just different card) back and forth to raise the ave. price . only cost e-bay fees.

For everyone that says they won’t buy from PWCC, or Probstein, or 4SC, someone else will pay a premium for that seller. Maybe they only look at those auctions. Or maybe they like stickers. Or maybe more confident they won’t be shipped an empty box. But it’s definitely true.

Both of these are a big part of it, but mainly it's because people are stupid with their money.

Since sportscards in general have been trending up, no one really cares.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy .
