1873cc seated liberty dime. No arrows

I looked on line to see if there was any fakes made and the only thing I came up with is that it said they was to hard to fake because of the arrows at the date. I took pics 2 different ways. Not sure if they did any good. Whoever had this didn't take good care of it.

I think it is a fake. Just check the details with a genuine issue. Have you weighed it? It could be a camera trick, but the word "Liberty" seems to raised.

Most counterfeits would be a higher quality.
The 1 in the date and obverse lettering are a joke.

i'll save you the suspense and effort. virtually EVERY coin in existence has most likely been counterfeited at one point or another. heck, people try so hard, some coins that have most likely never even existed have been counterfeited. i guess that is their hedge??

this includes lincoln cents worth 5c in BU red to $5 million dollars.

You're wrong about the one. It's the right one. Just has a lot of shit on it. Nothing wrong with the back also. Just not good pics because of the shit that's on the coin. They say never clean them so I didn't.

Just by looking at the '8' in 1873, took me about 2 seconds to decide that it's not real.

If you really want an easy way to tell it's fake....just look at OF AMERICA on your example and compare it to any genuine seated dime.

But the photo Lance posted was enough to show that the lettering style used for UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is wrong on yours.
For example, the U on yours has the same width for both uprights.
On the genuine, the left upright of the U is quite thick, and the right upright is thin.
