Ebay deals with Euro sellers

I am about 1 for 10 on dealings from Europe (UK, Spain, Italy) - the cards/stickers I have purchased tend not to ever arrive. I always check seller feedback before buying - so assume no red flags there. Do any of you have tips/tricks on how to increase my success rate on International shipping/deals?

    Maybe use a forwarder service

Is this something that Ebay can help facilitate?

Any issues getting refunds? I’ve bought a couple things from Euro sellers on eBay recently. Everything is shipped with tracking. Nothing’s arrived yet, but nothing’s overdue. (One from Italy, which just cleared customs here in the US, and a couple from Germany that have made it to foreign dispatch at the Frankfort airport. I also just bought something off Tradera, from Sweden.)

FWIW, I’ve had a couple very positive experiences recently with sellers in South America. Only two days for a package to arrive from Sao Paolo! (I’m in the DC area.) And solid service on a couple buys from Argentina so far, with one more on the way.

I deal with Poland every year for purchases of goods, personally, and it takes forever and ever unless you pay an astronomical air shipping mode. 4 months wait on latest item that is Polish Post to cargo ship. Hasn't hit our shores yet. Personally I don't take overseas buyers and won't until I can find a way to conduct safe private transactions with expedited shipping. I'm just not at that point yet.

No issues getting refunds aside from guilt due to sad sellers insisting it wasn't their fault. There are deals to be had right now on Soccer, Tennis, Basketball in particular but the risk is so high I just can't pull the trigger again without some greater assurance of delivery. I also don't ship to buyers outside the US - so in some way I'm part of the problem here. It's just a bummer.

Knock on wood, I don't think I've had an order from Europe not arrive yet. Even before crazy shipping delays, four weeks was not uncommon, and I had one from Italy get lost at my local post office for 3+ months. Expedited International w/tracking or eBay's Global Shipping program seem to still be getting through in a reasonable amount of time, but be prepared to cough up 20-40 Euros on shipping.

Timing is the biggest issue. I bought something from the UK around the first of January, took about 5 weeks to get here. A lot depends on the country, but in all honestly, expecting anything quicker than a month or two from Europe is asking a lot

IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

I buy quite a few soccer stickers for my son from England and Netherlands and have had no issues.

I was expecting delays like that, but good to hear that the majority seem to arrive eventually. I bought from Australia right before Christmas (know not Europe but still) and closed on a deal with a UK seller last night. Hoping for good luck with both of them.
