Removing wax from a card

I’ve got a number of really nice cards that have some wax residue from the package. Any idea how to safely remove that?

Use a nylon stocking or a dryer sheet.

Just a quick addition to the above comment....
The method above works very well on wax residue on the front of the card.

It does not work if the wax is on the back of the card and has stained the back....
You can get rid of the wax - but not the stain with that method.

Is it the gum that stains the back? How badly does it affect the grade? I really hate that a stain on the BACK, from gum that came from the factory can affect the value. Pisses me off!

Wax also leaves stains on the backs.
