1874 PI MH 8 reales .....overdate ?

This close up from D&P

My actual coin which does not look like what is shown from D&P..... but then what is it ?

    Looks more double stroke than overdate.

    Repunched digit. The die sinker didn't like the location by a few mm and repunched it slightly higher. Not an overdate or a double strike (where all elements would exhibit doubling)

    The full date looks repunched look at it closer.

    Bet you if you look all your coins over you will find something new or you did not know you had. You own 100's of 8 Reales there is a strong possibility of that. Ebay does not even have that many for sale from the period you collect. I know I would be looking each one over may take time but it would be time I enjoyed.

    Give me some coffee and some relaxing music and I would be a happy camper.

    How about these two 67 c ce neither of which look like the pic for the overdate in
    D&P ?? What are your thoughts ?

    Seems they are like the original post you made. The 1860 is the best in my opinion.
