    I will guess and say it was in some harsh environment, maybe the ground, where it corroded... 0.51grams lost and almost no diameter shrinkage?

    generally when someone plays with acid you see it lose thickness and diameter.

    I'm a bit surprised the rim is still noticeable with that much metal loss.

  • yes im surprised also rim still noticeable but even the motto date and reverse lettering are struck funny i will take closer pic so you can see what i mean the coin is very weird

    That coin is very common for metal detecting finds. The date and reverse lettering are NOT struck funny, they are corroded away by the environment.
