86 Fleer Jordan PSA 10

So, 2 weeks ago Goldin Auctions "sold" two Jordan rookies for $720,000. They just had one end a little while ago for $500,000. That's a heck of a drop in two weeks. Will the next one sell for even less?

You ain't seen nothing yet the thieves will flee money full in their pockets and some will be completely in shock at how much they wasted and will NEVER ever get back.

Anyone that has been around long enough knew this was all a huge fake bubble. I do mean huge. A massive house of ''cards' is going to crumble down.

About 10 or so years ago there was a rich guy who posted on here building every set produced and we all thought he was nuts but now who is laughing? He used to do tours and hired college kids to go out and buy for him! I can't remember his name? From New Jersey. Jim?

    Wow,

And that's a really ratty looking 10 at best. IMHO. And I don't mean in a Beautiful O-P-Chee style of frayed edges, just faded, ratty looking with 2 or 3 Corners that are better suited on a EX-MT 6-NM 7. I've got 8's look better that this!!!!

No wonder it didn't crack the previous $720K ceiling!

    YeeHaw!

not a fan of that 10 or goldin. apparently there were big glitches and his site crashed mid auction last night. i would consider that's the universe sending out a warning sign. supposedly having some big announcement on tuesday to address the issue in an attempt to appease future consignors that it won't happen again.

His user name here was Davalillo, and yes his name was Jim. I won't mention his last name for privacy. I believe he would have guys out to his house to view his collection. I think he tried to keep it all at a PSA 8 grade. Not active here since 2012.

In the same boat. Think there is something funny with two PSA 10’s in the same auction going for exactly $738k, private bidders just like PWCC, and gets higher amounts than REA and Heritage? Plus would not be surprised if he has cheerleaders and pumpers for his auctions to drive interest and prices rather than let it happen organically.

Big announcement is new servers by Atari and dial up routers for lightning fast response time. 🤣

  • Is it just me or do all the PSA's 10's for sale on ebay currently have slight flaws. none of them look perfect to me

Correct. He made a statement he could do 100 sets in all PSA 8. As I recall he was pretty close. Now owner- manager of a prominent auction house was one of his buyers. I did a few deals with him. After boards changed servers he refused to convert. Not sure that was the case here.
    Jim is quite the character.

I know he was upset when PSA went to 1/2 grades too which was right around then too..
