FOR SALE: #2 Current Registry 1981 Topps BB Near Set ALL PSA 10 & 9s Nolan Baines Gibson

**Just listed this one eBay if you're interested msg me here or through the PSA Registry (PSA Registry is probably better since it goes straight to my email).

$42,500

This listing is for the #2 Current 1981 Topps Baseball Set PSA Registry and the #7 Current 1981 Topps Traded Baseball Set PSA Registry. The Regular set includes 670 of the 726 cards. The Traded set includes 108 of the 132 cards.

In the Registry, the 1981 Topps set is called “Carter’s 81Ts” and the 1981 Topps Traded set is called “Carter’s 81TTs” and I encourage you to check both sets out.

Combining the two sets you have 778 PSA 10 graded card (670 from 81T, 108 from 81TT) - a total of 669 PSA 10s and 109 PSA 9s.

1981 Topps Baseball - 576 PSA 10s & 94 PSA 9s = totaling 670 cards. Thus, the set needs 56 cards to be 100% complete.
1981 Topps Traded Baseball - 93 PSA 10s & 15 PSA 9s = totaling 108 cards. Thus, the set needs 24 cards to be 100% complete.

The breakdown of some of the bigger dollar PSA 10s is as follows:

Cards of Note in the REGULAR 1981 Topps Set - all PSA 10s:

PSA 10 Nolan Ryan #240 (pop 39/3783 - tough low PSA 10 % card - the last one went for $4,903 on ebay - less than a month ago)
PSA 10 Harold Baines Rookie #347 (pop 38/2101 - super tough low PSA 10 % card - this card never comes up for sale)
PSA 10 Kirk Gibson Rookie #315 (pop 13/1255 - super tough low PSA 10 % card - this card never comes up for sale)
PSA 10 Tim Raines Rookie #479 (pop 167/4300)
PSA 10 Ron Guidry #250 (pop 2/272 incredibly tough card of this Yankees Great)
PSA 10 cards of MANY many HOFERs - peruse the set in the PSA Registry for an exact listing of the cards.

Low Pop Cards in the REGULAR 1981 Topps Set - all PSA 10s:

PSA 10 - Pop 1s - FOUR cards
PSA 10 - Pop 2s - TEN cards
PSA 10 - Pop 3s - TWENTY-THREE cards
PSA 10 - Pop 4s - TWELVE cards
PSA 10 - Pop 5s - THIRTY-ONE cards

Cards of Note in the TRADED 1981 Topps Set - all PSA 10s:

PSA 10 Danny Ainge #727 (pop 17/217)
PSA 10 Tim Raines #816 (pop 150/1619)

(NOTE: PSA cards pop 1 to about Pop 12 add some premium - the last Pop 1 commons sold for just under $800 on ebay, Pop 2s range is usually around $400-$500 a card, Pop 3s range in the $300-$350 per card, Pop 4s range in the $225-$275 per card, and so on, etc.)

Not a lot is needed to get this set to be the overall #1 Current finest set. I believe you could fill in the set with all PSA 9s for the last 56 cards without buying another PSA 10 and I think you would take over the #1 spot.

These sets would make someone a bundle if you wanted to break them into 778 single card lots and resell them, if that’s your thing.

Shipping these 778 cards will be done by insured, registered mail to the US only. Under proper circumstances, a local pickup might be able to be arranged.

If you need more pictures or have any other questions, please msg me.

    $52,500

This listing is for the #1 All-Time 1983 Topps Baseball Set PSA Registry. The set has ALL 792 cards graded PSA 10. The set is impossible to improve on as every card is graded Gem Mint by PSA. Also included in this lot is the #2 Currently-Ranked 1983 Topps Traded Baseball Set PSA Registry. This set has 116 of the 132 cards all graded in PSA 10 - including the Darryl Strawberry Rookie. Note: the TRADED set does still need 16 cards to be completed - all commons.

In the Registry, the 1983 Topps set is called “Carter’s 83Ts - 100% PSA 10s Set” and the 1983 Topps Traded set is called “Carter’s 83TTs” and I encourage you to check both sets out.

Combining the two sets you have 908 PSA 10 graded card (792 from 83T, 116 from 83TT) - every card GEM MINT as graded by PSA.

1983 Topps is regarded by many as one of the finest all-around baseball sets ever made - both in card design and in its offering of HOFer rookies and non-rookie cards.

Compiling these sets was a massive undertaking. The new owner of this sets, if he or she decides to keep it, will forever have the #1 ranked 1983 Topps set as it cannot be passed. The current #2 registry 1983 Topps set needs one card to be perfect, but it’s a tough card to get so it might be some time before he gets it, if ever. This set is only the second complete full-sized Topps baseball set EVER completed in all PSA 10s (the other being a 1978 Topps set) - no other full-sized Topps Baseball sets (of any decade 70s, 80s, 90s, etc.) has ever been completed in all PSA 10 according to the PSA Registry.

The three biggest cards in the 83T regular set are, of course, the Tony Gwynn, Wade Boggs and Ryne Sandberg rookies. There are also tons of other highly sought after stars (Ripken second year, Henderson 4th year, two Nolan Ryans, Dale Murphy, George Brett, Mike Schmidt, etc.). And for set collectors, even more valuable than the big rookies and hofers are the many low pop PSA 10 cards. The Traded set, of course, has the Darryl Strawberry rookie.

These sets would make someone a bundle if you wanted to break them into 908 single card lots and resell them, if that’s your thing. But it's also equally attractive to many true collectors to own the finest 1983 Topps set in the world, one that can legitimately never be surpassed.

Shipping these over 900 cards will be done by insured, registered mail to the US only. Under proper circumstances, a local pickup might be able to be arranged.

If you need to see more pictures or have any other questions/concerns, please msg me.
