Centering Tolerance

Self evaluation of the centering tolerance is tough... still calibrating. Do you think this Simms Rookie “does not exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 perfect”. There has to be a margin of error with the graders.

Count pixels L/R: L=21 R=31 (52 total white border)
L: 21/52 = 40.3%
R: 31/52 = 59.6%
Just outside 60/40.
Even though that’s within stated tolerance, there’s basically 0 chance a card with that centering gets a 10 these days. If you’re specifically wondering about that card’s chances, the corners are also nowhere near good enough. You MIGHT get a 7 with that bottom right corner, but even that is a stretch.
The screen measurement tool I use is Perfect Screen Ruler 3.0. The full version is now freeware, so yes, free! You can zoom in and set your measure points and it provides a history of the last few points.

Along with the program I linked above, I created this EXCEL calculator to translate the measurements to an equivalent PSA centering grade. If you want to try it out, here it is.. Let me know if anything does not seem right.
