fleer sticker residue

Hi, I've got a couple of 1986 Fleer Basketball Stickers which have the glue/wax (not sure) on the back. Can this be safely removed without hurting its chances of grading...if so, any suggestions on how?

Pantyhose work great. Also have had good luck with well worn socks. Just be patient and gentle, and make sure you are putting the face of the card on a flat, clean surface.

Absolutely. Take women's panty hose and rub the wax until it comes off. I bought a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Sticker BGS 5.5 with a surface subgrade of 5 and cracked it out. I rubbed off the wax and sent in to PSA for a nicely centered PSA 7. It turned $100 into $5k! I didn't count the cost of my wife's panty hose in that figure!

Same here, turned a Jordan 8 ST into a straight 9. Wish I still had that!

In 1999/2000, I used a dryer sheet to rub the wax off of the 10 best centered stickers I had. 6 came back PSA 9 and 4 came back as 8s........no ST qualifiers.
