Well, no. They were produced that way. "His dies were purposely left unfinished in order to create the appearance of a badly worn coin."

Are they from the 18th century and where do I look it up? Can't find too many references to it. I see one a little better condition sell for $75

They are listed in CANADIAN COLONIAL TOKENS Catalog by Charlton. The latest edition is the 10th.

BL-10 or BL-11. I'm leaning towards BL-10 based on the bows
