I'm jealous... of the nice cars & I really want the 'dealership' 1:18 model of my cheap car, but it seems difficult to buy and impossible in my color.

It's just a lame (but fun) Hyundai Kona (orange) - nothing like the beautiful real and models you all have posted (drool) - but I really think the dealership models in 1/18th scale are awesome with a lot of working details. Unsure if I'd try to buy some for cars I don't own... I collect enough things, probably healthy not to add one more no matter how fun. There are a couple people in the office here with Hot Wheels, though.

When I was a kid I had a futuristic-looking Matchbox (still have it somewhere) and many years later they reissued it and I was able to buy my young nephew the same car. I thought that was kind of neat.

Yes, my main hobby. I have been collecting diecast replicas since Christmas 1985, focusing on NASCAR since 1992.
1/64 exclusively, I lost track of how many I had exactly somewhere around 11,000 different cars. And that was a decade ago.
I also build plastic models...one of mine is currently visible in the most recent Model Cars Magazine. So recent I don't even have a copy of it yet.
I know a lady who has several hundred mini bikes, most still in the original boxes. her deceased HB was the collector.
she says nobody wants to by them
Tell her to sell them on Ebay.

@JBK that car is called Twin Mill. When I was way young and had original red lines I had that car and played with them. Who knew they would be worth good money down the road in mint state.
